Q&A with Duncan’s Devon Lolar – Presented By Marcus McEntire

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Devon: I am passionate about my sport because it’s what I have been doing since I was young and I try to be the best.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Devon: My favorite part about representing my school as an athlete is the professionalism and character that is required from the athletes.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?

Devon: My favorite memory is the bus rides back from away games we would sit in the back of the bus and freestyle.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?  

Devon: My favorite part about being on a team is that we all have each other’s backs and treat each other like brothers. 

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Devon: Hector Salazar has had the biggest impression on me. He is always trying to improve and he will never give up and quit.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Devon: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Ellis because she is willing to help her students any time of the day and she cares about all her students.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Devon: I would go on summer vacation with my team the boys and we would go to the Dominican Republic.

VYPE: What is your favorite meal?

Devon: My all-time favorite meal is a Cali burrito.

Devon: I would like to shout out and say thank you to my mom and Dad. I would also like to shout out Coach Ivan Ortega and Coach Shaw.
