Chickasha multi-sport star named to All-State football team – Presented by McRay Denton Vision Center

Chickasha senior running back Ma’Lek Murphy has been named an All-State selection by the Oklahoma Coaches Association.

The OCA All-State game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, July 28 at a to-be-announced venue. Murphy, a recent East Central University signee, will carry the ball out of the West team’s backfield alongside Heritage Hall’s River Faulkner and Millwood’s Rickey Hunt Jr.

Murphy rushed for 2,155 yards and reached the end zone 22 times last season. He was named the District 4A-1 offensive player of the year.

Murphy was also a VYPE Top 100 selection for basketball ahead of the 2022-23 season.
