ERICK MUNCY

OUTLOOK

The Lady Panthers are coming off an outstanding season that saw them advance to the second round of the Class 2A state softball tournament. As they enter this new season, head coach Erick Muncy is excited with what he has coming back this season and has high hopes for his squad. “We have a competitive group of kids,” he said. “They keep showing up and doing the work. I am excited to see what this fall holds for us.” Leading the team will be a trio of seniors, Addisyn Peterson, Kylee Schat, and Allison Stewart. Peterson will be back at pitcher.

The right-hander has already committed to Seminole State College and is a strong and dominant athlete that gives her team a chance to win anytime she is on the mound. Taking charge of the game from behind the plate will be Schat. She is energetic and a solid leader amongst her teammates. She is a tough competitor and always gives it her all. Stewart will be a key player at second base. She injured her ACL in basketball but looks to bounce back and be ready for this season. She is fast and athletic and a slapper at the plate. Overall, she is a solid leader. With the leadership and experience of these three seniors, the Lady Panthers look to get back to the state tournament and make a deeper run.
