The Lady Bulldogs of Altus want to continue building on the success of last season after going 13-14 for the season.
“Our team is looking to build on a good showing last season. We have a deep pitching staff, and veteran leadership with some incoming young talent looking to make their mark on the program,” said coach Robinson.
Chloe Hill (P) is a VYPE Top 100 selectee and will certainly help the Lady Bulldogs from the circle. One of several players who will see time in the circle, Hill can be dominant when her stuff is on.
“Chloe is an all-around dynamic player. She leads our pitching staff and carried a lot of innings for us last season. She is a powerful hitter, and always a difficult out for our opponents. She is a work horse as well as being mentally tough, and she puts in the time it takes to be great,” said coach Robinson.
Lead-off hitter and starting catcher Baylee Pence is as tough as they come.
“Baylee is our catcher, our lead-off, and the source of our energy on the field. She’s a great player, but it is her leadership that sets her apart,” said coach Robinson.
Maci Hayes is another versatile player coach Robinson will use in various ways to help this team win.
“Maci is a great utility player who can play anywhere along with being a quality pitcher on our staff. She led us in hitting last season as a freshman. We are looking forward to her becoming a leader on our team,” said coach Robinson.
Another player to watch this season is Zoe Grubaugh who can help this team at the plate and on the bases. Also look for Savannah Clothier who is the emotional leader and the spirit animal for the Lady Bulldogs.
“Savannah always gives 110 percent. She is a great teammate who is a constant source of support. It doesn’t matter what you ask of Savannah at practice or in a game she is going to do what is best for the team. She is a great student and is admired by her teachers and peers,” said Robinson.
