Athletes must put in a lot of work over their careers in order to be the best that they can be. Whether it is in the weight room or on the practice field, they know that they have to be willing to put in the time to be their best.
Another thing that successful athletes will tell you is that you cannot do it all by yourself. A great support system is also a key to being the best that you can be. Brianna Alexander says she has been blessed with outstanding people in her life that helped shape her into the person and athlete that she is.
“My parents are the biggest role models in my life,” she said. “I look up to them because of all the stuff that they have done for my siblings and me. Also, my soccer coach, coach Goble, has taught me how to be a better woman in college and in life. She has also taught me so much on the field and in the classroom.”
Alexander attends Chickasha High School, where she is a senior. She plays goalkeeper for the school’s soccer team. She is no stranger to the game of soccer as she has been playing the game for 14 years. Over that span of time, she has worked hard to be the best soccer player she can be. That hard work has paid off and the result is what Brianna calls one of her favorite moments.
“One of the biggest highlights of my career would have to be signing to play soccer in college,” she said. “I have signed to play at Allen County Community College in Iola, Kansas. I am looking forward to playing at the next level because it is something that I have worked hard to achieve.”
Coach Goble says that Alexander is a smart and talented player and a leader on the team.
“She is a four-year starter at goalkeeper,” the coach said. “She has instincts and quick reflexes. She is a huge asset in our backline and to the team in general.”
