Hollis’ Blair Skorepa – Presented by Harmon Memorial Hospital

High school students can have a variety of role models that they look up to. It could be a celebrity or influencer, a collegiate or professional athlete, or even someone that is a part of their everyday life. No matter which it is, the impact that this person can have on their life can be immeasurable.

Blair Skorepa is a junior at Hollis High School and she says that she has a couple of people that have played a big part in her life.

“The biggest role model for me would be my sister, Terynn,” she said. “She has always had a big influence on my life. I got to play with her for one year and it was one of the best. She always worked hard and gave it her all no matter the score. Another would have to be my coach Reagan Hightower. She is one of my favorite teachers. Not only has she taught me so much during sports, but also in the classroom.”

Skorepa is a member of the cross country, basketball, track, and cheer teams at Hollis. Outside of sports, she serves as vice president of the Future Farmers of America, a member of the National Honor Society, Junior Aeolians, Gifted and Talented, and yearbook.

During her time playing sports, Blair has enjoyed all the teammates she has competed alongside. But for her, there is one teammate that she enjoys the most.

“My cousin, Tori, is a year younger than I am so we almost always do the same sports. We are close so it just makes everything better.”

When game day rolls around and Blair puts on her uniform, she knows that she is playing for more than just herself.
“I am always proud to have Hollis on my jersey,” she said. “The community in Hollis is unlike any other. Everyone is so supportive in all the events and this makes you want to do good even more.”

When she has downtime, there are a couple of social media accounts that Skorepa likes to follow.

“I enjoy following Girl Saved By Grace,” she stated. “This account always has great verses and prayers.”
