Cache’s Isabelle Coronado Athlete Spotlight Presented by Arvest Bank

Athletes invest a lot of time and effort so that they can be successful at their sport. Isabelle Coronado says that along with all the work she has put in, she has had a great support system around her.

“I definitely wouldn’t have been able to achieve what I have been able to without my family, teammates, and coaches,” she said. “I owe all my achievements to them because they never stopped believing in me. I have been able to qualify in track and cross country fourteen times since my freshman year. I have been a state placer five times, two being a state champion. I was also named the 2024 Regional Female Scholar Athlete. I will attend the University of Washington this upcoming fall. These accomplishments would not have been possible without their encouragement and support.”

Isabelle is a senior at Cache High School where she is a member of the track and cross country teams. She is also involved in the Student Council.

Running is a tough sport that requires a strong mind as well as being tough physically.

“It takes time and a strong mentality to be successful in running,” she said. “I am motivated by all the times I have failed which makes me want to push to be better.”

The teammates that she competes alongside are another group of people that Isabelle is thankful for.

“I think the teammate I enjoy working with the most in practice would have to be my past teammate Madisyn Crandall,” Coronado said. “She always pushed me past my comfort zone. The most underrated player on my team is Kara Daniels. I feel like she always puts in 110%, always shows up, and never gives up even if her times aren’t what she wanted.”

Whenever she puts on her uniform and prepares for competition, Isabelle knows she is playing for more than just herself.

“It means alot to me to represent Cache, because I feel a lot of schools underestimate Cache.”
