9 Questions with Weatherford’s Nathan Lee – Presented by More than Medicine

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Nathan: I started playing as soon as I could play really. My parents had my older brothers play as kids and my oldest brother played all throughout High School. I remember wanting to do the same thing he did as a kid so I stuck with it since then.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Nathan: My sport has taught me how to overcome failure. You mess up a lot on the soccer field but it’s never the end of the world  and the same is true in life. No matter how many times you fail, use it as a point of learning and growth.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Nathan: My favorite part about being on a team is the accountability in everything we do. On our team we focus on how we are a family. And like a family we lift each other up and push one another to become a better player as well as a better person.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Nathan: My favorite part about representing my high school is the pride I feel when going out onto the field. Being a Weatherford Eagle makes me want to go out and work as hard as I can for the school I represent. I’m proud to represent our school in our victories and our losses.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Nathan: My Dad is probably the most inspiring person in my life. He is an extremely hard working man and sets an example for me to follow. He inspires me to become a better man and to have a servant’s heart to those around me.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Nathan: My favorite teacher I’ve had in high school is my history teacher Corey Duncan. Coach Duncan was an amazing teacher. He was always passionate about any subject we were going over and making the learning process fun. He is also a great guy outside of the classroom and is very inspiring.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Nathan: I love the mountains in Colorado but I’ve never seen anything up in Montana or Wyoming and I’ve heard it’s beautiful so I think I’d go there and bring my family along too.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Nathan: My all time favorite meal is really any kind of pasta. I love fettuccine Alfredo, tortellini, ravioli, and all sorts of Italian food. So any pasta with bread and oil is my favorite meal.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish. Nathan: I thank my parents, Renee and Jerry Lee for pushing me to become the best person I could be. I also thank my coach, Tommy Willis, for giving me the opportunity to perform at our High School and making me a better athlete.
