FFA Spotlight with Hannah Long from Dibble High School – Presented by Ok AgCredit
Hannah Long of Dibble High School started showing pigs when she was only six years old. It was her father who encouraged her to join FFA it became available at school. Now a junior, Long said her family has been the biggest influence in her life.
“My biggest influence has been my family they always pushed me to work hard for success,” said Long.
As a member of the FFA chapter at Dibble HS, Long said she is involved in several groups at school.
“I’m most involved with my officer team, going to camps, conferences/conventions, and showing livestock. I’m involved with student council, National Honor Society, DHS cheer, and Vo-Tec,” said Long.
FFA has given Long the opportunity to show her animals and serve on the officer’s team.
“I enjoy going to conferences with my officer team and showing on the weekends with my family. I show pigs, my family is big into breeding Hamps, which has given us a lot of accomplishments,” said Long.
Long is a member of the varsity cheer team at DHS and said she made some great memories with the cheer squad as well.
“My favorite memory is winning a back-to-back state championship title. I love most when we all come together as a team when it matters most,” said Long.
For anyone interested in FFA, Long said they should give it a try.
“FFA has been a huge part of my life. I encourage everyone to get involved and take it all in while you can.”
After high school, Long plans to become a cosmologist and open her own salon.
