Hi, what are you looking for?

Duncan

Q&A with Duncan wrestler Paeton Dial – Presented by RibCrib

VYPE: What is your most memorable sports memory?

Paeton: My lat drop, in dual state freshman year against Glenpool.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Paeton: My favorite teacher is Mrs. McGee. She is my favorite teacher because she helped when I needed it, she was goofy, I always learned in her class while enjoying it at the same time.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Paeton: My mother, because she taught me what a goal was and how to get that goal.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Paeton: Riley Hunter and Nathan Henry. They have left the biggest impression, they made going into wrestling less daunting as it seemed. Going into wrestling into my eighth grade I was far behind everyone. They taught me a skill set to help me become successful as well as taking me under their wing and being encouraging.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Paeton: The best part about being on a team is the feeling of being included. I get to experience so much with my team, it’s a brotherhood I’m so grateful for.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Paeton: Honolulu, Hawaii. I would love to learn to surf. I would take my best friend, Nathan Henry, because he would do all the shenanigans with me.

VYPE: What is your best advice to younger players?

Paeton: Don’t let self doubt over take your confidence.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Paeton: I would say thank you to my pops, because he has done a lot more than I ever asked for. Even though he was technically my grandfather, he was a greater father figure to me. He always instilled great knowledge in me, so I can have a bright future.
