Hollis’ Mom of the Month Danna Robinson – Presented by Jackson County Memorial Hospital Womens Clinic

The school that a child attends is not only important to their education, but also to their development at humans. Danna Robinson says that raising her kids in Hollis was a great decision for her whole family.

“You will see moms, dads, and grandparents in the stands that have no ties to anyone, in particular, playing. They are just there to support Hollis kids. Our kids are blessed with a community that pitches in no matter the need to ensure that every single kid has the opportunity no matter what. Our community members go out of their way to help out all of our students and make sure that everyone is taken care of.”

Danna and her husband have two kids in Hollis schools. Morgan is a junior and she plays softball, basketball, cheerleading, and runs track. Seventh-grade Charlie plays softball and basketball, runs track and cross country, and shows pigs.

Her kids are heavily involved in school, which is something that they make have taken after their mother. She is a member of the Hollis All-Sports Association and she serves as President of Holis School Foundation Inc, which is a foundation led to be the link between the Hollis Public School system and the community. They partner with the school on grant applications, and help promote events related to the school and community and public awareness of the needs within the district.”

When she is not watching her support her children at their events or helping in another place in the district, Danna is working at her job.

“I am a banker and have worked at Cattlemen’s Bank, formerly known as Stockmans Bank, for 22 years,” she said. “I currently serve on the Board of Directors and as CEO of the bank. When I have free time, not sure what that is, but give me a concert to go to or let me DJ the music at a ballgame and that is my happy place.”
