Ardmore boys aim for state tournament appearance – Presented by Express Pharmacy

Coach: Kyle Jessie

21-22 Record: 14-13

Overall, the Tigers had a solid season a year ago, even though they were just shy of reaching on of their goals for the year.

But head coach Kyle Jessie says that his guys are ready to get back on the court and finish what they started last season.

“We will look to rebound after falling one game short of the state tournament last year,” Jessie

said. “We will be led by three-year starter senior Jordyn Brown and we will look for big contributions from some of our other guys.”

Brown is a guy that can fill up the stat sheet quickly. He averaged 16 points per game last season and is on pace to score over 1,000 points for his career.

Another guy to watch out for is Shedrick Jones, who will be entering his third year as a starter. Jones is a rebounding machine that does the dirty work for the team to be successful. Some other members of the team that will look to be impact players for the Tigers are Kylan Cohee, Lionel Wynn, Mason Gaffney, Emmett Pickens, Ashton Thomason, Zaden Henderson, Jakorian Halstied, Taylan Booker, Kendre Grant, Micale Smith, Derek Meely and Kayden Blansett. The assistant coaches for the team this season are Mike Wynn and Wayne Rogers.
