Weatherford’s Kennedy Stewart Shares Her Goals for the Season and More – Presented by Weatherford Chiropractic Clinic

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?
Kennedy: My goals for this season is to win a state title and leave a positive impact on the Weatherford Lady Eagle Basketball program.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Kennedy: If you work hard and stay humble, good things will come.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Kennedy:
This is a tough one since Weatherford has an amazing teaching staff. I’d have to say Mrs. Thomas, she was my sophomore English teacher. She has a very big heart and fostered my love for English and Literature.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Kennedy: Jesus. His selflessness, love, and service to others is an inspiration. I aspire to be more like Him everyday.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Kennedy: I’ve had so many amazing teammates. I’d have to say Hunter Bayless. She is one of the hardest working girls I know, she taught me how to be a leader on and off the court.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Kennedy: The best part about being on a team is having people to fall back on. If I fail I know I have a whole team that will support and encourage me. My teammates hold me accountable and overall make me a better basketball player and person.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Kennedy: I would love to go to Italy with my family to see the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Kennedy: I love how fast-paced and physical the game is. I love being a post because I get to do the dirty work of getting rebounds, setting screens, and being dominant in the paint.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wishKennedy: I would like to thank my parents for coming to every single game, sacrificing so much for me, and helping foster the love I have for basketball. I would like to thank all my coaches past and present for their wisdom and support. Also my teammates from school ball to summer ball, for constantly pushing me to better myself on and off the court.
