VYPE: Who do you look up to and why?

Melissa: I look up to my Dad. My Dad is a very loving and respectful man. He always believes in me. We moved to Altus in order to pursue my love for softball and be able to play basketball on another level. He was my coach when I was little. He took me to all my games, and I really appreciate what he did for me.

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Melissa: I started sports at age four. Played in many leagues. Traveled to many places. My Dad told me I was going to play high school ball and it happened. He said Mellisa you are very talented, you can do whatever your heart desires, it’s all up to you!

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Melissa: First of all I want to thank my parents for loving and caring for me. There were many times I wanted to give up but they were there to pick me up. Thank you Dad for all your time and dedication, all the tears were worth it. I also want to thank all my coaches for always believing in me and pushing me to be the best!
