Altus Bulldogs Boys Basketball Preview – Presented by Jackson County Orthopedic Clinic

Coach: Todd Whittemore

21-22 Record: 2-17

First year head coach of the Altus Bulldogs Todd Whittemore and his squad are ready for a fresh start after a tough season last year but have high hopes for the upcoming season. The Bulldogs have been working hard to turn things around and have been making progress in the offseason.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs is Steph Sterling, a VYPE Top 100 player with the size and skill to play at the next level. Look for Sterling to be the focal point of most defenses throughout the year, but Sterling is the type of player that can make an impact every night on both ends of the floor.

Marquis Milton (Fr.)  is an underclassman who has impressed coaches and the coaching staff is excited to see his development throughout the season. Milton will be tasked with controlling the floor and setting up the halfcourt offense from the point.

Mhakari Milton (Jr.) is a relentless rebounder at forward. He can play in the post or out on the wing. Mhakari plays with aggressiveness and will go for every 50/50 ball and usually come out on top.

The Bulldogs will look to adapt to Whittemore’s system early in the season and get things rolling before winter break. Their first test in the season will come at the Woodward Tournament December 8th-10th.
