BOYS
Coach: Aaron Garrett
21-22 Record: 20-9
Head coach Aaron Garrett must replace several players lost to graduation, but what he does return should give him a solid nucleus to build around. “We are excited about the opportunity to replace seven seniors off last year’s team. We have some unique challenges but a great group of guys ready to take a shot at it,” said coach Garrett. A challenging schedule early in the season could mean the lineup has several adjustments before it settles into a normal routine. Kaden Kennedy will assist coach Garrett as they look to build off the 20-win season from a year ago.

GIRLS
Coach: Bo Thomason
21-22 Record: 20-7

While the boys are replacing several key players from last season, the girls and head coach Bo Thomason are returning most of the starters from last season’s 20-win effort. “We will have a chance to be solid. We bring back five girls who started at least six games last year and four that started most of the year. We need our bench to come on to make a deep run,” said coach Thomason. Ainslee McComas is back and a VYPE Top 100 selectee. “Ainslee is a great player because of her feel for the game. She is a competitor that has a will to win. She has a chance to really be a special player. She is also a great teammate and a true “team” kid,” said coach Thomason.

Abbie Savage (5-8, Sr.) may be the key to it all. “Abbie has a chance to really put it all together this year. She has had some big moments the past three years. I think this will be the year she puts it all together and has a big year,” said coach Thomason. Together the pair could become an unstoppable force. Add Teague Muncy to that list and the picture begins to clear. Muncy has a chance to be the breakout player of the group. After a summer of hard work, Muncy is looking to be a real difference maker this season. Also look for Gracen Hicks who is an extremely athletic player with a very high ceiling. She is solid on the defensive end and a great rebounder. Kylee Schat is another player to watch. Schat is relentless on both ends of the court. Other players to watch include Faith Carpenter and Brooke Brown.
