FFA Spotlight Clinton’s Bryale Johnson – Presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

Varsity volleyball player Bryale Johnson is a junior at Clinton High School where she also participates in the school’s FFA chapter. Both volleyball and FFA keep Johnson very busy, but somehow, she finds the time to be involved in other activities.

“I am a starter for Clinton volleyball, I am a football trainer, I am a FCCLA officer, and I am also in National Honor Society,” said Johnson. “I first became involved with FFA my sophomore year of high school.”

It was a family member who encouraged her to join.

“My brother was that main reason I became involved. He has always been big on farming and once he started showing cattle, I thought it would be fun to join to beat him,” said Johnson. “I enjoy making new friendships, some turn out to feel like a second family and I enjoy learning how to be a leader every day.”

As a member of the FFA team, Johnson is involved in meat judging, livestock showing (cattle), community service and she serves as a reporter for the chapter.

Johnson said her family has been a big influence in her life.

“My parents are a big influence. They have always been there for me though every adventure I’ve been on. They have guided me to be who I am,” said Johnson.

Once her high school days come to an end, Johnson said she plans on attending college.

“I plan to pursue a degree as an athletic trainer,” said Johnson.

The junior offers this advice to anyone wanting to learn more about FFA and what it has to offer.

“FFA is like a second family, there is always a place that you can fit in and be accepted,” said Johnson.
