OFFENSE
The Blue Devils come off a great 2021 season ready to rebuild with a young and inexperienced team overall. The offense returns two starters. Quarterback Karson Daniel (5-11, 185, Sr.) will be relied upon to lead the charge. Last year Daniel landed 83 of 140 passes over 1,788 yards for 22 touchdowns as well as 86 rushes for 458 yards and six touchdowns. He is an athlete with a strong arm and collegiate potential. At tailback, Kaden Barren will put in plenty of work as he looks to top his 98 carries last season which resulted in 1,061 yards and 18 touchdowns. The O-line will feature DJ Lewis, a senior who recently picked up the game of football and has put in work to develop into a great lineman.

DEFENSE
Their 4-3 defense will return four starters and will try to put a lot of speed on the field and emphasize turnovers. Barren will be key here as well at outside linebacker. Last season he racked up 87 tackles, two sacks, and two interceptions. He is also the kicker, so he’s got plenty to do on the field. Joining him in the backfield is Caleb Taylor (6-0, 170, Jr.) at cornerback, who had 41 tackles and four interceptions last
year. Taylor is very fast and athletic. The defensive line will be solidified by nose guard Rance Wilson (5-8, 180, Jr.) and defensive end Kash Rose (6-0, 170, Sr.). Last season Wilson had 76 tackles, four sacks, and three fumble recoveries. Rose had 37 tackles and three sacks.
