OFFENSE

Coming off a solid 7-4 sea- son a year ago, Maysville Warriors head coach Dace Lemieux says this year’s senior class gained a lot of experience last season and that experience should help Maysville during their tough district schedule this year. Offensively, the Warriors will employ and carnival and Pro-I offense that is centered around their dual-threat quarterback, Bo Green (6-3, 170, Sr.) Green, a VYPE 100 athlete, accounted for 1,200 yards passing and 600 yards rushing a year ago. While Green might be the guy under center for the Warriors, Lemieux says Maysville has a bunch of skill players that they want to get the ball to. Running back Nigel Reid (5-8, 185, Sr.) is back for his senior season after rushing for 1,300 yards last season. Wide receivers Bryce Shannon (5-10, 165, Jr.) and James McGregor (6-0, 150, Jr.) look to improve on their impressive junior campaigns that saw them combine for 900 yards receiving.

DEFENSE

Like the offense, the Maysville defense will deploy a couple different formations to keep their opponents guessing. Lemieux says the Warriors will run a 4-1 and 3-2 defense to utilize the skill players they have on the defensive side of the ball. Free safety Karson Cham- bers (5-8, 150, Sr.) is back after recording 120 tackles a year ago. Up front, Kolby Wyatt (6-5, 280, Sr.) re- turns for his final year after recording 40 tackles and eight sacks last seasons.

Nigel Reid will play both sides of the ball as he lines up at defensive end, where he tallied 55 tackles last season. Lemieux praised Reid saying he’s always been a team first guy, no matter his age. Assisting Lemieux this season are Seth Jensen and Paul Arnold.
