Ninnekah Lady Owls Softball Preview – Presented By First National Bank & Trust

With over half of the season in the books for 2022, the Ninnekah Owls under head coach Shawna Norman, are making a statement this season and the competition is taking notice. 

After 20 games the Lady Owls are 15-5 and ranked #16 heading into September. 

The team started the season with a four-game win streak with wins over Class 5A Santa Fe South and 3As Little Axe. 

Offensive production has been huge for Ninnekah outscoring opponents 131-69. Their 15 wins includes three shutouts and six wins by five or more runs. 

Several big games are still looming on the schedule, but with four home games, the Lady Owls are hopeful they can finish the regular season on a high note going into regionals. 

This year’s squad includes;

Seniors – Sydney Jackson (P/U), Gracie Burgess (OF/MI), Savannah Jackson (C/U), and Jerzie Baker (P/U). 

Juniors – Aubree Sneed (MI/OF), Kennedy Kilgore (MI), and Lexi Jo Shoemake (OF). 

Sophomores – Laci Tate (OF), Katelyn Tohee (OF), and Pepper Hickey (OF). 

Freshmen – Kinsley Cox (1B), Madison Dunn (OF), and Kolbee Sneed (MI).
