The decision on what career you will choose for your life can be a tough one to make. You want to make sure and pick one that you will enjoy working in, but also will be able to provide for yourself. Korbin Joslin is in the Auto-Service Technology Program at Canadian Valley Tech just in case his plan A does not work out. 

“I grew up around working on cars,” he said, “and I decided on this program so I could have a backup plan after college. My goal is to be a plumber right after I graduate. That is what I am doing during the summer currently as a job.”

Joslin attends the Chickasha campus of Canadian Valley Tech. He first heard about it when he was in junior high, and he feels that the program is a great fit. 

“I remember the first time that I heard about CV Tech was when I went on a class tour in the eighth grade,” he recalled. “So far, the program and instructors have done a great job of preparing me for it and helping me be ready to take on the responsibilities that go along with it.”

When asked if he would recommend Canadian Valley Tech to others, Korbin’s answer was simple.

“I would tell them to join with no regrets,” he said. “It is fun, and you get to meet new people. There is a program here for everyone.”

Along with being a student at Canadian Valley Tech, Joslin is a junior at Tuttle High School. He is a member of the baseball and football teams. He says that he enjoys playing sports and has had a group of people that he has looked up to on and off the field.

“The guys that have been role models for me are the present and past seniors on the team,” Joslin said. “I definitely look up to them the most. I really enjoy competing because I love to see who puts forth the effort towards that sport.”

Away from school, Korbin is a part of a student leadership group at his church, works on cars, and plays summer baseball.
