Navajo’s Corbin Reese – Athlete Spotlight – Presented By Cattlemens Bank

Corbin Reese is a recent graduate of Navajo High School, where he played in the outfield for the Indians baseball team. He played the sport for eight years, becoming interested in it as he grew up watching his friends and family play.

When looking back on his high school baseball career Reese has one memory that stands out among the rest.

“Winning regionals against Vici and dog piling on their field,” he recalled.

His teammates played a huge role in his athletic experience.

“They mean everything to me. It takes nine people to win a baseball game, not just one,” he said. “The relationship you build with your team and other people you meet along the way [is the best].”

Reese is motivated by being grateful for his ability to play because he knows some people don’t have the same opportunity. In addition to baseball, he played basketball, competed in shooting sports and was involved in TSA.

Reese looks up to his father as a role model.

“He is a hard worker and never backs down from anything no matter how big the problem is,” he said.

Reese’s plans for his future include finishing his education at Southwest Technology Center to become an aviation mechanic at Altus Air Force Base.
