DIBBLE DEMONS

Coach – RICHARD NORMAN

OFFENSE

The Demons return several pieces of the puzzle coming into the 2021 season. Head coach Richard Norman has four players back on the offense side of the ball with several younger players expected to step into critical roles this season. Eli Rimer (6-2, 195, Jr.) will start at quarterback giving the team a solid passer and someone who can tuck and run if needed. Rimer will benefit from having guys like Benjamin Rea (6-1, 260, Sr.) and Christival Cruz (5-10, 255, Jr.) on the offensive line. A pair of sophomores in Jag Norman (5-11, 175, So.) and Lane Lessor (5-10, 170, So.) will handle most of the running duties this season. Conner Pickard (6-0, 175, Jr.) will play one of the wide out spots giving the team someone who can stretch the field and move the chains. The Demons will work out of the spread offense as they look to spread the defense out and open up the running game.

DEFENSE

Five players with starting experience return to the lineup for the Demons on defense. Jacob Steury (6-2, 280, Sr.) sets the tone for the defensive line. His ability to stop the run will allow the linebackers to make plays and roam free. Luke Blanchard (6-4, 180, So.) is a long defensive end who can set the edge and get to the quarterback. Rimer and Norman will play safety giving the defense two smart players who can read and react to the quarterback and support the efforts to stop the run game. Hudson Long (5-10, 185, So.) is a tough linebacker who runs downhill to the football. Another sophomore to watch is Ezequil Lopez (5-10, 200) who is quick off the ball and will cause quarterbacks to speed up their clock and make mistakes in the passing game.
