Jaxon Willits is a sophomore at Fort Cobb-Broxton High School where he plays basketball and baseball. As a student-athlete, Willits is no stranger to hard work and dedicating himself to achieving the goals he sets for himself and the team. Willits takes that same approach to his Pre-Engineering classes at Caddo Kiowa Tech.
“The reason I decided to attend Caddo Kiowa Tech was I wanted to take more challenging classes and they provided that for me,” said Willits.
The Pre-Engineering course was exactly what Willits wanted as he plans to work in that field once he has completed high school and college. Caddo Kiowa Tech will give him a great foundation for his future.
“I enjoy learning about new things and enjoy physics. The course seemed like something that interested me and could help me get smarter,” said Willits. “After I graduate from FCB, I plan to attend college at the University of Oklahoma.”
For Willits, working hard in the classroom and staying focused on the task of completing his work, has allowed him to be successful and enjoy the course and the school.
“You have to work hard to get all your stuff done and make sure you’re always giving 100 percent in the classroom,” said Willits.
When he is not working on homework or on the field playing ball, you can usually find him practicing basketball and baseball in his free time. Jaxon Willits is setting an example for other students to follow by excelling in the classroom and on the field of play.
