Central Marlow’s Miracle Harris – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Bank of Commerce

Sophomore at Central Marlow High School, Miracle Harris, is an active student athlete. She participates in basketball going between the positions of guard and post as well as running three different sprinting events for the track team.

“Sports mean everything to me,” said Miracle. “It is a way to get out of the house and bond with your teammates, have fun doing the sport you love, and it gives you the opportunity to go and travel all over the world and see different things you would never imagine seeing before.”

Even though Miracle is a dedicated athlete she is an even more dedicated student.

“To be honest school right now is my life until I get out of high school and I am completely fine with that,” said Miracle. “Even though it can be tough I can manage it and it is just a way to get me prepared for real life.”

Staying motivated is important for Miracle. She manages to do this by keeping a positive attitude and mindset.

“I try to never get to the point where I am the main one bringing myself down,” Miracle said.

Being a student athlete comes with a lot of fun, but also comes with a lot of responsibility.

“Knowing that there are people in this world that look up to me really makes me want to work even harder,” Miracle said.

The person that Miracle draws her inspiration from is her older brother Kevin.

“Kevin pushed me so much and I thank him for that so much,” said Miracle.

In her free time Miracle enjoys singing.

“It makes my soul happy and joyful,” Miracle said.

Even though Miracle is only halfway through high school she is already making plans for her future. Once she graduates she would like to attend a career tech school to study cosmetology.

“I know there is more for me; I just have to wait for God to lead me to it,” said Miracle.
